Gas Options
Gas Inserts
Gas inserts are enclosed (glass-fronted) metal box units that are installed into pre-existing masonry fireplaces, and can operate using either propane or natural gas. These units are both convenient and efficient, while requiring very little demolition/alteration to the masonry structure. In cases of poor construction and code requirement issues, gas inserts can also be the solution at a cost-effective price point. Many of these units are customizable with different features and visual styles.
Gas inserts are remote-operated and easy to use with minimal upkeep.
Gas Fireplaces
Gas fireplaces share many similarities to gas inserts. These units come open-faced or enclosed (glass-fronted), and also operate off of propane or natural gas, which can be highly efficient and easy to use.
One benefit of these fireplaces is that they can be installed in wood chases, or in a spot in the home where a fireplace previously did not exist. Gas fireplaces can also be a solution for replacing a deteriorated or failing "pre-fab" fireplace.
Gas Logs
Gas logs are a great way to enjoy your open-face fireplace in a more convenient way. Eliminate the need for ordering, chopping, storing, and seasoning wood by having a gas line installed along with a set of appealing gas logs.
The installation of gas logs is only permitted in masonry or pre-fabricated fireplaces that meet the minimum code standard for burning wood.
In other words, the fireplace must be code-compliant to burn wood in order to add gas logs.
Gas logs ARE NOT A REPAIR for a damaged fireplace.
